Sunga

Fine contemporary Pacific music of extraordinary depth and beauty.

A subtle and delicate fusion

of culture and genre.

A completely unique experience.

Three Samoan women explore the musical essence of Polynesia. Their deep respect for each and for the music of their ancestors has brought them together to explore and create a new and unique sound in Pacific music. Although these three women share common heritage, they come from completely different musical backgrounds.

Grace Vanilau –voice, Natalia Mann - harp

and Lila Meleisea - kora (African harp), kalimba, saxophone -

bring together their unique instrumentation, soaring vocals and funky clap dances to create a truly unforgettable experience.

….‘An angelic journey to the Islands’ Sydney Pacific Radio Nuanua Show

‘ These three women have taken the Polynesian music of their heritage and added to it in wonderful ways, creating unique instrumental arrangements around their traditional songs and creating the most exquisitely beautiful music’… ‘must see performers’
