Shamdoogie

A magic and memorable event requires a huge amount of planning, logistical precision and many sleepless nights! As far as entertainment goes, whether you picture a show-stopping party or a beautifully intimate gathering, what's needed is a group that can read a room, match the vibe, and create the kind of sound beautiful memories are made of.

Meet Miss Kimba and the Shamdoogie ensemble. Here she's softly swingin' in a guitar vocal duo (accompanied by her husband Ryan, who is the group's musical director), there creating an easy trio vibe for a canapé set or gallery function, or even playing with a full ensemble, including trumpet, sax, even trombone or more!

A consummate professional, Kimba has the experience to understand what weddings, corporate functions, product launches, and intimate parties need to be a resounding success, but more than that, her lush, full vocal sound can move smoothly across a range of styles. Add to the equation the band's sharp suits, friendly smiles and can-do attitude, and you'll see why Miss Kimba and her crew are one of the most sought after acts in Melbourne.

Shamdoogie has been on the scene for almost a decade and in that time its players have played on five continents, appearing at some of the world's great festivals and events including Kobe Jazz Street (Japan), The Edinburgh Festival (Scotland), and have appeared at the Speigeltent right here in Melbourne.

This versatile group have all studied jazz music, but their musical knowledge and experience straddles so many styles, giving them the unique advantage of being able to truly swing out some gorgeous dinner jazz, steam along with the classic swing jazz sound, roughen up and play those rockabilly and early Rock’n’roll favourite. They also have ample experience in playing funk, and soul music at many of Melbourne's premier live music venues and their knowledge of solid pop classics is impressive.

Available with male and female vocals (all male singers play a horn instrument, so you get 2 for 1!)
