Odyssey takes you on a musical voyage from the latest R’n’B hits and slick dance-floor vocal house & disco grooves, through to old-skool funk & soul classics. The band also plays sophisticated jazz music suitable for a quiet dinner setting. Odyssey has a very hip and defined sound and look. We do not play rock and are not a “top 40” band. We are very polished and professional up-market act!
The ultimate Entertainment experience, Odyssey is led from the front by Abby Joyce. Abby’s energy and his ability to engage the audience are legendary. He has shared with the stage with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Kool & The Gang, J-Wess. and Missy Elliott. And all this with a voice of epic proportions that has recently been featured on UK underground house hits “Prophcey” and “Galactica Suite”.
The members of Odyssey are amongst the most sought after TV, studio and live session musicians in Australia. Known for their exceptional professionalism and talents they have played & recorded with Jabalani, Kool & the Gang, Polyester, Incognito, Hey, Hey it’s Saturday House Band, Mark Amato from Good Morning Australia, Diesel, Stevie Wonder, Renee Geyer, John Foreman, J-Wess, Pseudo Echo, Jimmy Barnes, John Farhnam, Missy Higgins & CDB to name but a few.
Odyssey is primarily a 10 piece band, however, can go down to an 8 piece band.
