When two musicians of exceptional ability and experience join forces, you can expect nothing but the best in quality entertainment! That's exactly what has happened when Alison Riethmuller and Anthony Michael decided to combine their talents and performance skills to form 'Character Play', a duo performing a vast range of repertoire accumulated through many years of professional musical engagements.

The idea behind forming 'Character Play' developed when Alison arrived to work with Anthony as resident vocalist with the band "High Tide" at the award-winning luxury 'Hayman Island Resort' in the Whitsunday's of North Queensland. Since meeting in July 2003, the pair have developed a rewarding friendship and working relationship, and decided to put their original plans to travel as soloists in 2004 on hold, in favour of concentrating their talents into a truly exceptional musical duo.
