Benjamin Kopp - Pianist
Benjamin Kopp is considered to be one of the most promising young pianists in Australia. A pianist of maturity and integrity, he has been praised by audiences for his ability to express the entire range of the instrument. Kopp’s virtuosity and formidable technical and emotional facilities ensure that any repertoire is played with conviction.
Kopp’s concert activities have seen him perform with all the major Australian symphony orchestras. Recent concerto performances have been with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, West Australian Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Victoria.
As a chamber musician he has played with such world famous names as Mats Lindstrom and Alexander Baillie. Kopp has performed live on 2MBSFM and 3MBSFM radio stations, and is regularly broadcast on ABC Classic FM. For 3 years, he was a full scholarship holder at the Australian National Academy of Music.
Highlights of 2005 included a self-conducted performance of K414 with the ANAM orchestra, performances as part of the highly acclaimed Emerald Trio, concerto performances with Orchestra Victoria and performances in the Melbourne Arts Festival.
