Having grown up in a
musical family, the Chishkovsky sisters have continued with the tradition,
embarking on their first project together, Archetto
Having played for several years in Mirra String Quartet, Kat has performed at
hundreds weddings and corporate performances, including events for the Pratt
family. She has also previously been a member of Melbourne Youth Orchestra and
the Melbourne University Symphonia Orchestra. Kat currently plays and guest
performs with many live bands, and has performed in many of Melbourne’s best
known live music venues, including The Corner Hotel The Esplanade Hotel, The
Prince of Wales, The Tote, The Northcote Social Club, The Melbourne Show
Grounds, plus many more. Kat currently works in the Music Department at Santa
Maria College and is deputy leader of the Strings program and ensembles.
Sophia is a freelance musician and music teacher who performs frequently as a
soloist, chamber and orchestral musician She graduated with a Bachelor of Music
from the University of Melbourne in 2010, studying with Josephine Vains. Sophia
is currently the cello teacher at Hello Music and Over Newton College, as well
as giving private music tuition. She has performed regularly with the Melbourne
University Symphony Orchestra, the Australian Youth Orchestra and the Melbourne
Youth Orchestra under the guidance of internationally renowned conductors such
as Richard Gill, Graham Abbott and Oleg Caetanni.
